Explaining the team in your pitch
One of the things you want to include in your pitch is information about your team. People are a keep aspect to any business, especially startups / new firms.
Nicole Gravagna from the Rockies Venture Club has a simple post explaining how to talk about the team in a pitch:
At the end of the post there is a section called, “How to build the slide”. In the section, she provides an example slide for how the “Team” slide could look and what material to talk about. I have included the slide below (here is the link to the source)
If slides were allowed at Pitch Zoo, this would be a very good design to illustrate who is on the team, what they do for the company, and their background / expertise. At Pitch Zoo, no slides are used — it is just the person talking about his/her business. So why am I providing this as an example? I am providing this as an example because the content in the slide is what you should talk abut in a pitch — who is on the team, what they do for the company, and their background / expertise. In addition, seeing things visually when you are practicing your pitch can be helpful, as it helps organize your thoughts.
Note: the example is a golf company: Cadeegolf. If anyone knows me, they will know why I am smiling when reading this example by Nicole. 🙂
